The exploratory laparotomy is an operation that is performed commonly in veterinary practice, yet it still fills many practitioners with dread. What do you do if you can't find anything wrong? How do you take effective organ biopsies? How do you perform a successful gastrotomy, enterotomy, enterectomy or urinary cystotomy? Lectures and video presentations will be used to provide top tips, building confidence so that you can perform safe and successful exploratory surgeries with conviction in the future.
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at new graduates, those taking the next step in their career, as a refresher after taking a career break or changing disciplines. The day is designed to be highly applicable to first opinion pratice, focussing on common presentations, with tips and tricks to help you evolve as a competent and confident general practitioner.
