As the ‘Head of Practical Training’, you will be working alongside leaders within the business to ensure high standards are met in the delivery of a large portfolio of practical training programmes in the UK and in Europe!
Some of the ‘Head of Practical Training’ key responsibilities:
To be responsible for overall practical department business operations including the management and support of the practical delivery team.
To develop, integrate and maintain all practical courses.
Liaise with the company offices abroad regarding equipment and with key suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and sponsors.
To oversee the speaker equipment requirements and the practical courses, speaker invites and contracts.
Overseeing all delegate enquiries and registrations and ensure they receive the best customer service possible!
Support and cover for the practical delivery team as necessary.Management of relevant practical budgets efficiently and providing financial information associated with practical courses for the purposes of budgeting.
Work with the leadership team on projects to develop the practical speaker experience and delivery.
To be successful in the role of Head of Practical Training, you will need:
To be a Qualified Veterinary Nurse of Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS Registered).
Knowledge of veterinary operating theatre equipment and current surgical procedures in practice.
Current or previous people management experience in a veterinary practice or educational establishment (or similar).
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
Fantastic organisational skills with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written skills with an ability to build relationships easily.
A high level of focus to meet customer’s needs.
A UK driving license and the ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and occasional Saturdays.
A can-do attitude and the desire to get stuck in wherever needed!
