We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant for our client's Pet Insurance business based in Hertfordshire.

This role is working Monday to Friday, 9-5.30pm (office based with the potential for 1-2 days home working after successful completion of probation period).

Free car parking, Vitality health insurance, subsidised optical care, and the option to buy and sell holidays (up to 5 days per year).

If you have a new pet join your home you will have 2 days off once every two years to settle them in!

In this Finance Assistant role some of the tasks you will be responsible for are:

Supporting the Finance Manager, Managing Director, and Management team by managing the financial aspects of the Pet Insurance services offered by the business.
Reconciling financial reports.
Responsible for buying group analysis for potential customers.
Handling administrative tasks.
Ensuring you are aware of all regulatory responsibilities in regards to RCA, BACs, and TCF guidelines and adhere to them.
Monitoring and maintaining aspects of the in-house systems.
You will need to have:

Strong Customer service skills
Excellent organisational, analytical, and planning skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong computer skills including MS Excel.
Time Management skills.
Strong communication skills to be used both internally and externally.
A flexible and caring attitude towards work.
The ability to self-motivate and work independently
It would be great if you had some kind of financial qualification but this is not essential as work experience and the right attitude is what really matters!

You will need a solid understanding of MS Excel as this is used daily!
