The Role

We are looking for an Approved Tuberculin Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will receive the necessary training to qualify as an Approved TB Tester (ATT). Duties and responsibilities:

·         Travelling to our clients farms and performing TB testing to a consistent high standard

·         Using APHA TOM and SAM software online to enter and sign off TB tests

·         Supporting office staff and veterinary colleagues

The role is 32 hours per week over 4 days - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Normal practice hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm although there may be some variation around these hours according to practice testing requirements, including paid overtime. No weekend or overnight working. Salary £17,600 (£22,000 FTE).

Kenwyn Veterinary Centre Ltd is located on the edge of the great little City of Truro. Based in purpose built premises, we are a dedicated farm and equine practice serving clients over a compact area in mid Cornwall. We are a team of 5 vets, supported by friendly, efficient practice staff.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for an honest, enthusiastic and energetic applicant who enjoys spending time outdoors and working with the farming community.

The minimum requirements for the Approved Tuberculin Tester (ATT) course are:

·         to have a minimum of 6 months' cattle handling experience; and either

·         3 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English, mathematics, and a science or food production subject OR (b) 3 years' performance in a government regulatory role, e.g. Local Authority Inspector or Environmental Health Officer
