To be considered for this Head of Product Development and Innovation role you will need to have previous experience working in a Product Management role. You will have a love and fascination for products and a complete animal lover!
Reporting directly to the co-founder, some duties for the Head of Product Development and Innovation role are:
To identify new products for the company and lead the New Product Development process from start to finish!
To manage a team of product managers. People are key so you must enjoy mentoring and training your colleagues.
Work on key strategic projects within the business.
Working with suppliers to ensure they are in-line with the company's needs and objectives.
To take the lead on all product trials and full responsibility for performance quality.
The assessment and screening of all worldwide opportunities.
To translate the latest trends into propositions by seeking new ingredients, new formulas, and new formats which includes keeping track of new clinical studies.
The building of the knowledge hub for the Product Team.
You will need to have a strong scientific background as well as a strong affinity for brands, marketing, and consumer goods.
You will need to be an entrepreneurial analyst with creative ideas, who is well organised and able to take control! You will need to be someone who works well in pressurised environments and to tight deadlines.
You will need experience dealing with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply, and Innovation!
Experience within the Pet or Animal Health Industry is preferred but not essential.
