JR has a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to join our clients team within a supportive and innovative environment. This 24hour hospital is a long-established practice, close to the scenic Jurassic coast dedicated to providing exceptional care to both their patients and clients. This team are proud to offer 24-hour care with a vet and nurse on site around the clock. The team includes specialists in imaging and cardiology, with other vets pursuing certificates in surgery, dentistry and ECC. This facility is well equipped with advanced tools, including laparoscopy, endoscopy, dental x-ray, ultrasound, a full lab with iStat and also offers specialised services including hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
This role involves ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice, supporting both clinical and non-clinical teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional client care, monitoring feedback, and implementing improvements.
- Collaborating with the Lead Vet and Regional Operations Director to optimise performance.
- Managing practice rotas to maximise service levels and clinical skills utilisation.
- Recruiting, inducting and engaging team members to ensure high colleague engagement.
- Promoting the practice through local community events and other outreach activities.
- Knowledge of practice environments, ideally with veterinary, GP or dental settings.
- Appreciation and empathy for exceptional impact on client experience.
- Understanding of regulatory importance and compliance management.
- Experience in resource planning and team management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and strong computer skills.
- Good numeracy and analytical abilities.
- Effective coaching and influencing skills to encourage and maximise team performance.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time role working 40 hours a week 9am – 5pm.
