After many years at the helm, our Clinical Leaders are ready to hand over the reins to a Clinical Director who has it all.

Oathall Veterinary Group has four partners who are moving away from clinical work to concentrate on retirement while still maintaining the independent values of the practice. Realising the importance of their role within the practice the decision has been made to appoint a clinical lead who can assist the practice reach its full potential as an excellent first opinion practice with referral standards.

We are a single site independent practice in Haywards Heath, West Sussex with a loyal client base, an interesting caseload and a stable team. The team has been long established with 9 qualified nurses, 2 student nurses a separate reception team of 9 with 8 vets and 6 support staff.

The practice is fully equipped with x-ray, Idexx lab, ultrasound, ECG, multiparameter monitors and is considering investment in a laparoscopic stack system with endoscopes to support the demand in services.

Oathall Veterinary Group is an independent giant in the community due to our dedicated out-of-hours service. We know the importance of continuity for good case management, as do our clients, so we are proud to be the only practice in the area who do not move the patients back and forth to emergency out-of-hours services. Our out-of-hours service is only available to our clients, we do not take on cases from surrounding practices which means that we are not inundated with cases. Our vets receive financial recognition for their time spent with cases in addition to their salary.

We are looking for a very special candidate to complement the current team. The attributes we are looking for are:

To apply for this position, you will need:

*To be registered with RCVS
*Have a minimum of 8 years' experience
*Excellent communication
*Previous experience in a senior role
*The correct documentation to work the UK. Sponsorship would be considered for the right

Role Details

*5 days a week consisting of 8-hour days
*1 day or two half days a week away from the rota to manage the leadership aspect of the role
*1:6 Saturdays including the out of hours for Saturday night and Sunday night
*One Monday off every 6 weeks in lieu for the weekend work
*Bank Holidays are shared with all vets
*Any Bank Holiday worked will receive 1.5 days off in lieu
*All OOH work is financially recognised in addition to the salary
*Individual circumstances can be considered for the right candidate


*Salary up to £70000 depending on experience
*Bupa health care
*RCVS registrations paid
*VDS cover
*5 weeks holiday
*5 days CPD including a £2000 allowance
