We are looking to welcome a new receptionist to our small and friendly team. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and so we need a fun, friendly and professional individual to take on this role. Your job as a receptionist will encompass the following tasks and more; Answering the telephone and dealing with incoming emails, Registering new clients, new pets and booking appointments appropriately, Helping to manage stock levels and placing orders, Correctly dealing with client orders, Keeping reception and communal areas clean, tidy and well organised, Assisting with animal restraint at times (full training will be given), Dealing with financial transactions, end of day cashing up and banking (training given), Ensuring smooth, accurate communication between the practice and clients. Our ideal candidate must have good numeracy and literacy skills, be adaptable to learn our veterinary software program and must show excellent attention to detail in order to maintain our high standards of customer care. This part time position has some upward flexibility but the core hours required as a minimum are 3 out of 4 Saturdays 8.30am – 1.30pm. Weekday shifts may also be available. The candidate will be supported by other team members but must be self motivated and able to work alone at times. This role can be high pressure for someone lacking organisational skills and as such multi-tasking is essential! Although veterinary experience is desirable it is not essential. It is however important that you have had experience in a customer facing role before, that you can be friendly and professional, welcoming and approachable.
