Are you an experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity in the Horsham area of West Sussex? Look no further!
JR’s client is seeking a dedicated individual to join their incredible team as Head Veterinary Receptionist. You'll be the first point of contact for clients, greeting them with a smile and giving their pets a warm welcome. You'll assist with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing general support.
** Full-Time: 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with a 1:4 weekend rotation.
** Up to £28,000, DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Client Interaction: Welcome clients and their pets upon arrival, assist with scheduling appointments, and provide information and support.
Administrative Duties: Book appointments on the RX Works diary, manage paperwork, and ensure it is scanned onto pets' digital records.
Team Management: Oversee reception team operations, manage rota and authorise holidays and time off in lieu.
Promote Healthcare Plans: Help to promote our Healthcare Plan to ensure pets receive premium discounted preventative treatment.
Liaison: Work with the Vet and Nurse teams on queries and assist clients with appointment bookings and medication collections.
Ordering and Payments: Order food and medication, process payments, and manage 0% finance applications for larger operations.
Communication: Manage a busy reception desk, handle emails and social media inquiries, and ensure daily posts on Facebook/Instagram.
Training: Ensure the reception team is trained in all necessary systems (RX, Deko, PHP Plan, VIP, Direct Claim Information).
Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other reception duties as requested and keep a log of any overtime for management approval.
Candidates will need:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the Veterinary or Medical Industry. *Senior position experience is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
- Technical proficiency in computer systems and software.
