We have two branches covering North Yorkshire - Poppleton and Malton. Our team of 6 vets carry out services at our clinics and on the road, including: lameness and performance investigations; diagnostic imaging; breeding, foaling and artificial insemination; pre-purchase inspections; gastroscopy; export services and other routine services such as vaccinations, dentistry and worming plans.

The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, conscientious Equine Nursing Assistant to join our friendly team at Poppleton on the outskirts of York. The successful applicant will assist our vets with procedures at the practice and out on calls, undertake general yard duties and deal with clients face to face and over the phone.

This is an active and interesting role with a varied daily schedule. Previous veterinary experience is not required as training will be provided, however the ability to handle a wide range of horses is essential, along with having excellent standards of equine and patient care.
This role is a full time (40 hrs), permanent position with out of hours requirements (evenings and weekends on a rota basis). The role is primarily based at the Poppleton branch however there may be occasions where you will be required to work at our branch in Malton.

The role would be best suited to a person who:
● Enjoys working as part of a team
● Works collaboratively and flexibly in order to achieve goals, tasks and daily duties
● Is organised and efficient.

Required Experience/Qualifications:
● Maths / English GCSE (Grade C or above)
● Drivers License
● Knowledge of horses
● Computer / IT literate
● Communication skills
