Patient Care Assistant - YourVets - Nuneaton

Here at YourVets Nuneaton we are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Patient Care Assistant to join our nursing team.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with animals and working as part of a team. You would be joining our dedicated veterinary team that currently consists of 3 PCA's, 7 receptionists, 9 nurses and 6 vets in this busy first opinion practice. Along with being able to work as a team you should also be able to work on your own initiative, with the ability to take direction from your colleagues.

Some of your main working duties will include:

Assisting the nurses with in-patient cases (feeding, grooming, cleaning, exercising)
Assisting with patient handling during procedures
Cleaning and packing clinical instruments
Maintaining stock
General cleaning and helping to maintain the running of the hospital
Maintaining accurate patient record
Helping provide excellent client care and pet care advice on reception and in consults
Working alongside vets in consults

Within this role you will be required to work 40 hours per week.
