The Role

Clifton Veterinary Practice has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team! No two days are the same here and the successful candidate will carry out general nursing duties including;

This is a permanent part-time position ideally working 3 days per week. We can be flexible with this but would be looking for cover Monday, Thursday, and Friday with 2 days working 8:30 am – 6:30 pm and 1 day 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.  

In return, you will not have to work any out of hours or weekends and we will offer you a competitive salary of up to £28,000 FTE depending on experience!

About Us

We are a 100% small animal practice based in Clifton, Bristol within walking distance of the iconic suspension bridge and the city centre. Bristol has great links to the south-west and provides something for everyone, with our vibrant city-life and our proximity to the stunning countryside. 
The practice is equipped with facilities including x-ray, dental x-ray, in-house lab, ultrasound, and endoscopy. We also have blood pressure monitoring and pulse oximetry for anaesthetic monitoring. We aim for the highest levels of care for all of our patients and complete a wide range of first opinion surgery, where we can, we work up cases and carry out referral surgery in-house too. Our fantastic team is made up of three vets, two nurses, one nursing assistant, and three reception/administrative staff. Within the team, we have a Certificate Holder in Ophthalmology and one member of staff studying for their certificate in surgery.

Applicant Requirements 

Our ideal candidate is a qualified Nurse who is dedicated to working to a high standard in first opinion care.  Experience in anaesthesia and animal handling is essential. The ability to work within a small team, to help/take blood samples and perform vaccine clinics, post-op checks, and monitoring procedures would be advantageous.
