Permanent Veterinary Nurse Independent Practice Cambridgeshire

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United KingdomWe are currently recruiting a small animal veterinary nurse for an independent practice on the outskirts of Cambridge. This role is full time and involves working 2 different shifts, either 8:15am until 5:00pm or 12:00pm until 7:30pm. The practice also provides there own out of hours service to their clients, so part of the role will require you to be involved on the on-call rota.
This position would be best suited for a veterinary nurse with a passion for providing a high standard of customer service, veterinary care and an all-round caring person. The practice believes every member of staff should pull together and do their bit, meaning some work on reception may be required in busy periods.
• Type: Small animal
• Hours Mon-Fri: Either 8:15am until 5:00pm or 12:00pm until 7:30pm
• Weekends: 1 in 3 on a rota, Saturday mornings in practice and then on call for the remainder
• Sole charge: Always working alongside another nurse
• OOH: 1 in 3 rota, including the weekends. It is rare to be called out as the vets take the phones, however the practice believes in providing this service.
• Team: 4 Vets, 2 Nurses, 1 receptionist and a practice manager

They are independently owned and family run who provide a variety of small animal services to the local area and beyond. They are very much client focused and provide an out of hours service to all clients, which given there rural location is very attractive to some.
They are looking for a compassionate, hard working and reliable veterinary nurse whose passion for the industry is clear with everything they do. Customer service skills are also of high importance, as they require all nurses to assist the reception team when required.
• £20,000-£25,000 dependent of experience
