Lostwithiel, Cornwall, United KingdomHere at Kernow Veterinary Group we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small animal practice in beautiful mid Cornwall, close to many spectacular beaches, moorland walks and other activities such as horse riding, fishing, sailing or ball room dancing we really do have it all on our doorstep. We are a large busy first opinion practice based over 5 small animal sites; we also have a 6th site which is designated to our Kernow Farm and Equine team. We provide high quality care to our dedicated client base. We are an RCVS Accredited (General Practice) and a Nurse Training Practice, looking for an enthusiastic RVN who believes in the importance excellent patient, client and staff care as set out in our mission statement; Aiming to become Cornwall’s leading provider of animal healthcare. This is achieved through - being the most dedicated, professional team we can be caring about our animals, our clients, each other, enjoying and taking pride in, what we do, who we are and where we work. You would be expected to have experience in all areas of the veterinary nursing field. The role is varied and will include working alongside our experienced and cert holding surgeons during routine, emergency and orthopaedic surgery or our dedicated medical vets helping to care for inpatients. There will also be opportunity to develop nurse clinics and build a client base while supporting our reception team as required. A full time nurse would be working 40 hours, over 4 days Monday- Friday. OOH and weekend work is currently 1 shift in 3 weekends which is either a day shift or a night shift on a rota basis. We carry out our own 24 hour inpatient care and weekend work is included in your 40hrs, meaning you would work less hours in the week leading up to a shift. Bank holidays are shared throughout the whole RVN team. We also pay an additional night duty bonus of £103 for any night duties worked. There is no sole charge working within this role.

Newly registers veterinary nurses or year 3 students will also be considered and fully supported.
