Blenheim Veterinary Centre is a small animal Practice and has been providing veterinary care in the market town of Ashbourne on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park, and surrounding areas of Derbyshire since 1 July 2002. We have a fantastic client base and we offer excellent veterinary care to them within our modern state-of-the-art facility, whilst retaining that friendly, welcoming atmosphere of a small town community practice. Our highly trained, compassionate staff are our greatest asset. We are an established veterinary nurse training centre and have been awarded Tier 2 standard for Small Animal Care under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons' Accredited Practice scheme.
We have a strong team of 6 Vets with another new grad joining us in September, one has almost finished their Medicine Cert and one is about to start on an Exotics Cert. Our Nurse team is made up of a Head Nurse, two Senior Nurses, five RVNs, one VCA, one SVN and one ACA - we cherish our role in bringing forward the next generation of RVNs so if you have Clinical Coaching skills that would be fantastic. Our reception team consists of 7 members who have a vast depth of knowledge. We hold regular team and Practice meetings and are starting to get back into lunch & learns. We regularly work with our local Cats Protection and dog rescue centre, Just for Dogs, and support them where we can. We enjoy regular walks together within the team and the other local IVC Practices.
We’re looking for a highly motivated RVN with experience and a positive attitude. You must be able to work well independently and as part of a team within our busy Practice. We’d love someone to join us who has excellent communication skills, who is keen to deliver clinical excellence and, like us, possesses a genuine passion for animal welfare. We will discuss with you any areas you'd like to develop, and you will have the ability to expand your role and add strings to your bow.
