Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, United KingdomWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead and develop our small nursing team. You will be responsible for nursing rota, staffing and holiday approval, developing and leading nurse clinics and helping to improve clinical protocols and standards within the practice. The role is 40 hours per week over 4 days with a shared weekend rota (Saturday mornings only) with time back during the week. There are no OOH duties with this role.
We are a small close knit team that are motivated to improving clinical standards and the care we provide for our patients. We have recently obtained ISFM Cat Friendly Practice award at Silver level and we are hoping to develop our existing nurse clinics further. We have digital x-rays, ultrasound, blood pressure and infusion pump on site, recently re-furbished front of house and reception area, car parking and easy to reach as close to major commuting route. We are easily reachable from Glasgow and other parts of Ayrshire.
The ideal candidate would be a fully qualified RVN with a few years’ experience in practice, excellent technical abilities and clinical knowledge, good organisational and leadership skills. Managerial experience and skills an advantage but not essential. Additional certificates/diploma or an interest in completing such in the future would be fantastic.
