Hailsham, East Sussex, United KingdomWe have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our growing team at Downland Veterinary Group, East Sussex. Mainly working between our Hailsham surgery and our Eastbourne surgery, we are looking for a highly motivated candidate who is organised and committed to providing a high standard of patient care. Duties include surgery assistance, inpatient care, nurse clinics, infection control and reception support. Newly qualified nurses will be considered. The position is full time, working 4 weekdays (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) 08:30 - 19:00 shift patterns, occasional Saturday mornings when cover is required, no OOH, no bank holidays and no Sundays.
At Downland Veterinary Group, East Sussex, we are a dedicated group of 24 staff members with a strong team ethos. We are a training practice with currently 4 student nurses among us, each assigned a clinical coach from our experienced RVN team. We are a mix of Vets, RVNs, SVNs, Animal Care Assistants and management.
We are a first-opinion practice that is forward-thinking and developing at a rapid pace. We currently have two operating surgeries; along with diagnostic imaging facilities, in-house blood machines and dental x-ray. Further to this, a visiting Ophthalmologist vet holds regular appointments at our Hailsham surgery. In addition, we are part of the wider Downland Veterinary Group in West Sussex and Hampshire, who have certificate holders amongst their teams.
Our enthusiastic team is growing rapidly and development is evident in each individual together with the practice. We work closely with local charities where possible, and frequently donate to The Kit Wilson Trust via our Amazon account.
We are looking for a passionate individual who is looking to develop and fully utilise their skills. We aim to deliver high standard services daily and are eager to constantly improve all aspects of our practice. CPD is strongly encouraged, and collaboration and communication amongst the teams is significantly promoted. You will provide an outstanding client experience and help to create and maintain an efficient clinic.
