Registered Veterinary Nurse Required At Catley Cross Vets In Halstead, Essex

We are looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small animal team (part time also considered). Full time (5 days per week) or part time (2-3 days per week), shifts between 8am and 7pm, weekends are approx 1 in 6 rota (Saturday 8am-4pm and Sunday 8am-12pm) plus inpatient care. Extra Saturday mornings shared on a rota basis. We look after our own inpatients. Usual nursing duties to include theatre, lab, inpatient care, prepping animals for surgery including catheter placement and nurse consults.

We are a large single site small animal and equine clinic on the Essex/Suffolk border. We have six small animal vets assisted by six RVN’s, two trainees and a large support team. We have a varied and interesting caseload including some charity and zoo work. We have the usual equipment, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopes etc.

We are looking for a qualified registered veterinary nurse who has the ability to be able to work as part of a team but also be able to work from their own initiative. You will need to have good communication skills between colleagues and clients and be self-motivated and be able to cope well under pressure. Basic IT skills are required.
