Permanent Senior RVN Needed for Practice Based in the Central Belt of Scotland (SN/13297)

Our clients currently require an experienced RVN to take on a senior role at their practice. The client has 4 surgeries spread across Glasgow and the Central Belt.

They have a range of services that include an out of hours, dermatology, acupuncture, behavioral training, grooming, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, home visits and many more.

This branch is an RCVS accredited Core. Standards Practice, welcoming dogs, cats, birds, exotics, poultry and small mammals. Your duties will involve a mixture of theatre work, Schedule 3 procedures, nurse consultations, reception and team management alongside our Head Vet and Practice Manager.

As a Senior Nurse, you will be required to be RCVS registered with strong nursing skills and be able to lead and mentor a team, coach and guide colleagues and support the trainee nurses as their clinical coach. You will be committed to developing nurse clinics whilst providing a high level of care and with the opportunity to develop skills and Individual interests within a modern medicine environment.

You will be covering all nursing duties where required including assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthetics, taking bloods and x-rays, in patient care, critical care, nursing clinics amongst others. The ideal candidates will be hard working, enthusiastic and down-to-earth with a proactive, positive attitude who thrives with a busy caseload. A confident level of general nursing is required and above all else, you will be passionate and dedicated to providing an outstanding service for our clients and their animals.

The practice is offering a competitive salary commensuratewith experience, a funded CPD package as well as 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years UK experience.
