The Role
Here at Strathmore Vets we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full or part-time basis.
Duties would include
Working within Andover, you will join the rest of the team working in rotation providing nurse consultations and peri-operative nursing. The consultations include the standard paediatric weigh & worming, post-operative checks, microchipping etc. In addition to the usual appointments, our nurses have the freedom to create and deliver targeted appointments such as: weight management, geriatric cat consults, behavioural and many more. Whatever your passion is, we will encourage you.
We have two surgical theatres, and you will be involved in a wide variety of surgeries. We are always looking to develop our nurses in areas of their interest and are happy to support you through courses to enhance your skills. offering a good work life balance. Shift swaps are accommodated to ensure you don't miss out on personal commitments
The rota will include working 1 to 5 days a week with the hours being between 15 and 40. We cover our own OOH on a 1:4 to 1:5 weeknight and weekend rota. Saturday afternoons and Sundays are open for emergencies only and staff are not required to be on site.

About Us
We have a close-knit team that consists of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Support Staff and 1 Kennel Assistant. We are a very successful accredited training practice and we encourage our nurses to do clinical coach training. We hold various, funded team bonding events throughout the year.
We are located in Andover Hampshire very central location near to many attractions , stone hedge , Winchester Basingstoke and Salisbury, we have very good transport links to London within an hour and close to Southampton Lyndhurst.
We have 5 consult rooms 2 operating rooms x ray and prep.
With specific dog and cat wings for accommodating all pets.
We also have a quarantine kennel area.
Applicant Requirements
We would also consider a Student Veterinary Nurse who is nearly qualified with NPL/One file completed) to join our growing, close-knit team.
