We are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our lovely Langley practice in Slough, Berkshire.
The friendly team at Medivet Langley provides exceptional care to the pets of Langley and surrounding areas (including Iver, Datchet, Windsor and West Drayton).

Salary and hours:
This role offers a salary of £27,573 - £32,615 per annum depending on experience plus £300 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available, RCVS and VDS fees, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
Hours are 40 per week - 1:4 weekends and a fair share of bank holiday cover with time off in lieu and minimal on call duties over the year, approx. 3 weeks to support our dedicated night team if required, enabling the development of your ECC skills and experience.
Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.
You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.
Skills and experience
As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively.
Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills.
Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.
Medivet Langley is a partnered branch and sole vet practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the BP to drive the practice forward and manage a nursing team with two Patient Care Assistants.
The Branch Partner is long standing and as such has a large and loyal client base. She holds an Improve International certificate in feline medicine and is also an LVI.
The practice has been awarded a Silver Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). It provides exceptional veterinary care to Langley and surrounding areas including dedicated cat clinics and puppy socialisation classes, both of which are very popular.
Medivet Langley feeds into our 24-hr hospital in Watford for all out of hour care.
