Up to £24,000 DOE
Shenley, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The role involves all regular RVN duties including surgical nursing, inpatient care, nursing clinics. This is a full time position of 39 hours per week, this can be over 4 or 5 days. Shifts will typically include 2 lates a week, our flexible staff can always swap if these are on days that don't suit. 1 in 4 weekends, but no OOH. Would also require candidate to do some shifts at our Edgware surgery (HA8 8JS).
Salary up to £24,000 depending on experience.
We are a really friendly team of 4 Vets, 6 Nurses, 2 Receptionists and a Practice Manager. We have 2 surgeries, both with (mostly!) lovely clients. Our Shenley surgery is in the middle of a beautiful park, with an apple orchard opposite. Edgware is more urban, both have plenty of parking. We really value our nursing staff and encourage special interests, - nurses have their own consulting room at Shenley, plus a lovely ‘quiet room’ for delicate situations.
We do a lot of work for our local hedgehog charity and see lovely hogs most days. We also do a local dog show which everyone enjoys. At the surgery, we hold puppy parties, information evenings, and Movie nights (with a local fantastic behaviourist).
We are looking for an RVN but no further experience required. We need a team player - we have a very low staff turnover and most of our staff have been with us for years. We're a very sociable bunch and need someone who will enjoy being part of our friendly team. New ideas are always listened to and we would love someone who would enjoy helping with clinics and with the information events we put on for clients.
