Position: Head Veterinary Nurse
Location: ME8 0PU
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Up to £30,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our small but busy Vets4Pets surgery in Gillingham for an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to lead and manage the nursing team.

This is a full time role, 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 weekends.

You will need to be a dynamic and proactive nurse with solid all round clinical and management skills. The key to your success in this role will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, including managing and supporting the busy nursing team. You will also have practice lead responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

- Work closely with the wilder clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver timely and effective customer care
- Lead and inspire the team of nursing colleagues to achieve their highest ability
- Encourage on-going development and areas of suggest improvement, such as auditing for consults
- Comply with Health and Safety Regulations as well as other local policies within the surgery
- Some administration tasks such as rotas etc. and being aware of financial controls
- Administer high level nursing care, offering advice and assistant to clients, completing full clinical notes
