The Role
Barrow Hill have a brilliant opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team!
The role is for an enthusiastic RVN to run and expand our current Nurse clinics. Currently our nurses perform admits for procedures and discharges, nail clips, anal glands, weight checks to dispense/apply flea and worm treatment, post op checks, suture removals, weight clinics, dematts, routine bandage changes and phlebotomy. Just recently our qualified nurses have started doing Librela, Solensia, Cytopoint, Immunotherapy injections and 2nd vaccinations under the guidance of a veterinary surgeon. We are looking for a nurse to continue this and establish more complex clinics including geriatrics, diabetic and renal and other chronic illness.
The role is full time with working hours of 9:00 am- 17:30 pm Monday to Friday with a half-hour unpaid break. There are no weekends or OOH involved.

About Us
Barrow Hill Veterinary Centre is a busy, well-equipped small animal clinic in Kent. The Ashford site benefits from an onsite CT scanner and is able to offer laparoscopic procedures. Ashford is ideally situated for links to London and the continent and only 20 minutes from the beautiful city of Canterbury.
About the Team and Culture
There are 10 vets across the three sites, supported by 14 RVNs, three SVNs, kennel assistants and a dispensing assistant as well as an experienced and friendly reception team. The addition of peripatetic vets in ophthalmology, orthopaedics and cardiac ultrasound further enhances our services and many of our clinical staff are studying for certificates in imaging, internal medicine, anaesthesia and ECC. We are a supportive and encouraging team to work amongst and truly care about the welfare of one another. The team like to support charity events, with their last event raising money for medical detection dogs.
Applicant Requirements
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic RVN with some post-qualification experience and a passion for the development, implementation and delivery of nurse clinics. The right RVN will have to be client-focused with excellent communication skills and bedside manner.
