We have an exciting opportunity for one full time candidate to join us and lead our exceptional nursing team. Working alongside our Lead Clinical Veterinary Nurse your time will be split between admin duties and leading from the front on clinical duties.
As the line manager for the nursing team your duties will include organising rotas, HR, stock management and health and safety.
Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential, alongside a passion for veterinary nursing.
We are a busy RCVS accredited small animal practice with a motivated team made up of 10 vets, 13 RVNs, 3 VCAs and 8 support staff.
We aim to ensure the skills and expertise of our Registered Veterinary Nurses are fully utilised and valued in all aspects of practice and are happy to support all interests. Vet/ nurse certificates currently held in the practice include Soft Tissue & Orthopaedic Surgery and ECC.
Our exceptional reputation over the past 66 years speaks for itself as our clients voted us “Best Scottish Vet” in 2018, 2019 and 2020. We work in bright, spacious purpose-built premises with plans for a refurbishment/ expansion underway. Our practice is particularly well equipped and our caseload is large and varied with many longstanding, loyal clients. We work closely with the Scottish SPCA and other local charities and are an RVN training practice.
We are looking for a confident all-rounder who has a positive, resilient attitude. The ideal candidate would be level-headed with excellent communication skills. Candidates need to be confident in all first opinion nursing duties and previous management experience would be advantageous. Candidates must be Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and a full UK driving license is useful but not essential.
