Currently Furloughed RVN or Experience NursesIf you are nurse that’s currently furloughed and would like to undertake paid or volunteer work for a Charity and make a difference to animal welfare in London whilst you are furloughed from your current position then consider locum working for the Celia Hammond Animal Trust. We are an established and well-respected Charity and are looking for nurses at our South-East London (Lewisham) and East London (Canning Town) Clinic.
We carry out rescue and re-homing for cats and kittens and provide a very wide range of veterinary services for the pets of people who cannot afford commercial Vets' fees. Working for us, as well as looking after owned pets, you will also have the opportunity to nurse abandoned and unwanted animals back to health and into new loving homes.
You will also be able to improve your skills at the same time. We deal with first opinion veterinary procedures as well as many complex referrals. We have emergency cases as well as routine vaccination and neutering clinics. We also care for rescued animals needing surgery, medical treatment or care and rehabilitation before they move to their new homes. There is no reception work with these roles - all of your time will be spent on nursing duties.
Various shifts available Monday to Sunday made up of a mixture of early, late and weekends. Accommodation may be available if required.
