London, London, United KingdomWe are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in London. This is a full-time position working 42 hours per week Monday – Friday with a 1:2 Saturday rota 8.30am – 1pm.
The practice is in the North of London and the nurse will be working alongside the Vet and the PCA. They boast an excellent local reputation and have a large passionate team who provide a high standard of veterinary care.
The practice is located close to transport links and offers a car park space which is shared amongst the team.
About the role
The role involves all aspects of general nursing. Responsibilities will include:
The RVN will be expected to deliver an exceptional standard of clinical care
The RVN will adhere to practice protocols and standard operating procedures
The RV will provide support to fellow colleague where necessary
The RVN will be expected to build excellent working relationships with clients
The RVN will run Nurse clinics
The RVN will be happy to become a clinical coach to a student.
The RVN must have excellent client care skills and be able to develop working relationships easily and work well as part of a team. They must be ambitious and motivated with a genuine passion for animal welfare.
Hours: Monday – Friday 42 hours per week
Weekends: Yes 1:2 Saturdays 8.30am – 1pm
Sole charge: Yes
Team: 1 Vet 1 PCA and reception
Consultations: 15 Minutes

Experienced Vet/ RVN team with certificate holding veterinary surgeons within the group

Separate waiting rooms and wards for dogs and cats
In House Laboratory
You will be driven and ambitious and looking to take your career to the next step and develop your clinical and skills
You must be motivated and passionate about your work and share this and promote this ethos with other members of staff
Clinical coach experience is advantageous but not essential
You will enjoy working as part of a team
You will have a genuine passion for animal welfare
You will consistently deliver a high standard of clinical care
You will be caring, adaptable, hardworking and reliable
You will have excellent communication and customer interfacing skills
Salary: Commensurate to experience
Holiday Allowance: 25 days holiday plus bank holiday
CPD Allowance £500 with 2 days off to attend – higher budget / courses negotiable
