Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an RVN to join their leading Manchester-based referral clinic specializing in orthopaedic and neurosurgery. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established night nursing team, working alongside a specialist surgeon and a dedicated team of Advanced Veterinary Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional overnight care to the surgical patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and smooth recovery. With support from on-call veterinary surgeons, your role will be critical in maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Role and Responsibilities include:
- Consistently deliver high-quality care to patients and clients.
- Assist with evening and overnight surgeries, managing all pre- and post-operative tasks.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 procedures.
- Monitor and provide comprehensive care for all patients overnight.
- Oversee admissions and discharges, coordinating closely with the veterinary team.
- Dispense and verify medications.
- Lead briefings to ensure effective team coordination for smooth clinic operations.
This is a Permanent, full-time role working 5 nights per week, Monday to Friday, (6pm – 8am) followed by 9 nights off.
This role offers a salary up to £30,000 DOE with benefits including
