The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team here at White Cross Vets, Newton Hyde!

This role is for a full time registered veterinary nurse to work from our Newton Hyde practice. Working 37.5 hours, shared over 5 days with a share of Saturday working. Time is given back for any hours worked on Saturdays.

About Us

Our practice has 4 consult rooms, a theatre and x-ray room. We have an x-ray and dental x-ray plus and ultrasound machine here at Hyde. One of our colleagues is particularly interested in exotics so we always have interesting pets to work with! Another colleague has a certificate in dentals so we do get a lot of these cases including sealants and fillings!

Our location is great! We're on a bus route that runs by regularly. We have a train station around ten minutes away. We have a Coop and a cafe close by as well as a Starbucks which is just a short drive away.

About the Team and Culture

We are currently a team consisting of 4 vets, 6 nurses, 2 student nurses and 4 Client Care Coordinators. We enjoy getting together outside of work and have recently booked a practice trip to GoApe as well as a spa day.

During our wellbeing afternoons, we like to watch films or play games. We have regular team meetings where we grab a brew and a biscuit and discuss our cases for the day etc.

Applicant Requirements 

We are looking for a highly motivated veterinary nurse who can thrive in our high-quality practice. You will relate to our core principles of quality, integrity, responsibility and growth, fitting seamlessly alongside our friendly practice teams as you work with team to provide a quality experience for pet owner and pets alike.
• Previous experience in UK / Small Animal practice
• RCVS registered
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• A passion to deliver great clinical quality and fantastic client service
• Desire and passion to care for pets as if they are your own
