Our client is looking to recruit a Lead RVN to join their team in North London for the following role:

**Full time - 42 hours per week
**Weekend work included
**Part time considered - 32/36 hours per week
**No out of hours

The Clinical Lead Nurse is key to the business's ability to provide a high level of clinical standards. The Clinical Lead Nurse will ensure that patients are managed as effectively as possible from a nursing perspective to support the delivery of outstanding patient care. Working enthusiastically with your team you will help maintain a happy, efficient working environment whilst providing outstanding patient and client care.

Candidates must have a minimum of two years post-qualification experience to join the team. As an ideal candidate, you would have excellent communication skills, be highly organised, and able to work comfortably with autonomy in a growing hospital.

The role will primarily focus on clinical duties, allowing protected time for leadership and administrative tasks that form part of the role.
Clinical Lead Nurse responsibilities will include:
• Work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager to maintain, support, and introduce updates to clinical standards in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Develop protocols and SOPs for specific areas of the practice to ensure a standardized approach and an evidence-based approach to patient care is achieved
• Work with the clinical teams and other lead nurse/s to organise patient flow on a day-to-day basis to ensure the most effective and efficient approach to the workload.
• Identify and improve efficiency of the patient pathway from admission through to discharge
• Line management of a number of direct reports, including regular feedback and coaching and development discussions where needed

The branch is well-established small animal hospital, in North London. It has a varied and interesting caseload including; routine surgery, dentistry, emergency surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, exotic medicine and surgery and a variety of medical cases.

CPD including advanced qualifications is actively encouraged as this facilitates development of the veterinary nursing teams to ensure the team are fully utilised and support is in place to aid development of leadership skills.
