JR is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse role to join our client’s friendly team at their equine hospital in North Yorkshire. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity for a veterinary nurse with a passion for equine care to enhance their skills and experience within the Equine Care industry. This Equine hospital is known for pioneering advancements in equine medicine and surgery since the 1980s with State-of-the-art equipment, continually updated to maintain the hospital’s position at the forefront of equine care. Experience with horses is essential, including handling, care, and an understanding of equine-specific health issues. This role requires physical robustness, including the ability to lunge and trot horses of varying sizes. The ability to travel is essential, requiring your own car and candidates would preferably live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet the on-call requirements effectively.
As a vital part of the team, you will be responsible for and required to
- Engage with clients to educate them about their horses’ health and treatments.
- Prepare and process diagnostic imaging, ensuring accuracy and precision in the results.
- Provide comprehensive care to equine patients before and after surgical procedures.
- Possess Strong communication skills, both with clients and within the team.
- Be a collaborative team player who is supportive and trustworthy.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a permanent, full-time role with an out-of-hours on-call rota, including 1 in 8 weekends and 3 weekday nights per month.
