An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Nurse to join my client's friendly, motivated team.
You will be expected to carry out general nursing duties with shifts rotating through surgery, ECC, medicine and kennels, enabling you to continue to develop your clinical skills in a variety of disciplines. All special interests will be welcomed and supported, with generous CPD funding and certificate support available.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours over 5 days and 1:5 or 1:6 weekends. They care about their staff having a good work life balance so for weekend work you will be given time off in lieu. There are no compulsory night shifts or on-call, but the nurses can pick up optional night shifts to cover annual leave if they wish which will be reflected in your annual salary, or extra optional 10hr weekend shifts which are paid at time and a half.
Salary for this role is £24,700-£27,200 depending on experience.
The hospital has been purpose-built to industry leading standards and features state-of-the-art facilities including four theatres (one with fluoroscopy,) a CT scanner, multiple ultrasound machines, video flexible and ridged endoscopy/laparoscopy/thoracoscopy/arthroscopy, and an MRI scanner. They offer referral services in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, ECC and cardiology, enabling you to utilise your nursing skills to your full potential working with an interesting, diverse caseload.
They have over 95 staff within the centre; there are 21 vets, a majority of which are certificate holders, along with internal medicine and neurology specialists and one resident. In addition, they have 25 registered veterinary nurses, 3 Advanced Diploma holders, over 12 students and to assist they have an ever-growing animal care team. They are a friendly practice, with a good work ethic and great team work – they adopt a collaborative approach to the work and take pride in providing outstanding levels of care to the patients and clients. They will support your interests through the generous CPD allowance, ensure you are refreshed with ample holidays and look after you with the wellbeing programme.
They are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic nurse to join their amazing team. Referrals experience is not necessary as the successful applicant will receive 8 weeks of supported, structured training, so they will welcome applications from ambitious, motivated RVNs of all backgrounds.
