The Role
We have an opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Hart Veterinary Centre, if you are a dedicated RVN who wants to join a practice that put their patients at the heart of everything they do, this role is perfect for you.
You would be working alongside 12 experienced and professional nurses, as part of a fast-growing practice that strives to deliver excellence in customer service as well as gold standard veterinary care. Our vets rely implicitly on our nurses to support them, often asking them to draw blood, take x-rays, and much more. We hold twice daily Clinical Rounds where our nurse’s input is invaluable, giving the team excellent job satisfaction when they can help make decisions on their charges' care.
You will work 40 hours across 4 days per week, with 1:5/1:6 weekends, sharing operating, consulting, and inpatient duties. You will primarily work at our Bicester site.
Hart Vets takes the well-being of our team very seriously with Well-Being Champions available to ensure that we listen to our team at every level. Out-of-hours care is provided by our own out-of-hours service where our dedicated night nurses and on-call vets look after their charges around the clock throughout the night.
Salary
The salary is up to £28,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Hart Vets is an RCVS Accredited Small Animal Hospital, which has been caring for pets since 1993. We are a family-run veterinary practice with modern surgeries in Bicester and Waddesdon. Our surgeries have been designed to provide the highest quality of care using the latest technology for diagnosis and treatment and we have purpose-built facilities across our sites, including Digital x-ray, Idexx diagnostic machines, dental suite, and modern anesthetic monitoring equipment. We have on-site parking available for clients at both our Bicester Veterinary Hospital and our Waddesdon surgery, with disabled access to our waiting rooms and consulting areas. Our surgeries are air-conditioned, and we have separate dog and cat areas so that our patient environment remains calm. Most of our clients live locally in the Bicester – Aylesbury area, but many of our clients come from nearby towns and villages. Hart Vets provides quality health care with compassion and we care for your pets the same way we would want our own pets to be cared for!
About the Team and Culture
Between our two surgeries we have 10 FTE vets; 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses and 12 Support staff. One of our vets has a surgery certificate and one is working towards hers. Our vets have a wide range of interests from surgery to dermatology and ECC.
We are a very happy, supportive practice that takes well-being very seriously. Before Covid, we went out every Friday evening and we hope to get back to that soon.
We can promise a plentiful supply of baked goods and if you can laugh at yourself as well as with us, you will fit in just fine.
