An exciting opportunity has arisen for an RVN to join our veterinary nurse teams in North Yorkshire. You will be working at our Oak Beck and Skeldale practices with occasional work at our Ripon and Harlow Hill practices.
Your average day will include a variety of nursing duties as well as assisting with clinical coaching within the practice. Full support will be provided as you will work closely within our experienced team.
The varied role provides wonderful flexibility and will give you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of first opinion general nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with the teams and assisting with the development of student nurses.
Our team see a wide range of cases and working at branches and experienced practices with certificate holding vets. It is also a good opportunity to see how the different teams work, doubling your exposure and gaining valuable experience! A Full UK Driving Licence is essential due to the nature of the work.
This is a full time role working 40 hours per week.

The practice has 2 theatres, a large prep room, separate dog and cat ward and a separate fully furbished dental suite.

In house lab equipment with up to date analysers and external lab support and services

A thriving practice with rustic charm set in North Yorkshire on the outskirts of the market town of Thirsk itself.
The practice has a large waiting area with separate dog and cat seating and a dedicated reception team.
5 consult rooms, well stocked dispensary, digital X-ray facilities, ultrasound and well-equipped prep area.
The beautiful area of North Yorkshire is a vast area with endless opportunities for adventure and sightseeing in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire moors, Yorkshire coast, Harriot country including historic York, Harrogate with its Victorian Splendor and the bustling market town of Thirsk. All with great shopping opportunities, including a designer outlet at York.
There is also many museums and galleries, including the Jorvic Centre in York, a modern insight to the Viking heritage of York itself and the James Herriot museum in Thirsk for fans of the famous fictional Yorkshire vet.
Every July, the Great Yorkshire Show is held near Harrogate. An iconic three-day event and one of the biggest agricultural events in the English calendar offering a fantastic day out of shopping, food, displays and much more!
Find outdoor tranquillity with countless walks and hikes to enjoy the breath taking views, fun on the waterways including cannoning and paddle boarding. Wildlife and nature areas to enjoy where otters and red kites can be seen. Also waterfalls, ancient Abbeys and castles to explore.
North Yorkshire is a short drive away from all the many attractions that Durham, Newcastle, Leeds and the Lake district have to offer, all accessible via the A1 in under 2 hour. London is also a 2 hour train journey away.
It doesn’t rain as much as you think in North Yorkshire but if you do find a wet day, there are always plenty of cosy pubs to visit for good food and a warm fire.
