The RoleWe are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. Our nursing team has a reputation for providing gold standard patient care. As a result, we are able to recognise and reward our nurses' skills, professionalism and dedication. We would very much like to hear from Registered Veterinary Nurses who are keen to contribute to and share in our success. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and resilient, you will enjoy keeping pace with our wide and varied caseload and demonstrate strong communication skills. The duties for this role include preparing animals for theatre, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in theatre, positioning animals for x-rays and CTs, performing Schedule 3 nursing procedures, providing intensive nursing care to hospitalised patients, performing detailed and accurate kennel rounds and performing in-house lab tests, with the support of our full time laboratory technician. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, covering all shifts on a rota basis including (approx.) 1:10 weekends and a Saturday night. We are lucky to have two full time night nurses that cover Sunday – Friday.

Applicant Requirements
The ideal candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with previous small animal practice experience. There is lots of scope for professional development due to our hospital status, provision of our own OOH work and large, supportive team of vets and nurses. CPD is encouraged and funded.
