We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, friendly and progressive Small Animal Hospital. Nurses are involved in all areas of nursing, providing high standards of hands-on care, with opportunities for personal development.
40 hours per week. 1:10 Saturday night OOH, 1:10 Saturday & Sunday days.
Varying shift patterns covering 7.30am - 8.30pm
Oakham Veterinary Hospital is a long-established practice on the outskirts of Oakham, Rutland. Our premises are purpose built and set in 8.5 acres surrounded by rural countryside.
We have extensive hospital facilities and diagnostic equipment in both our equine and small animal departments. Our experienced and caring teams of vets, nurses and support staff offer a complete veterinary service from routine examinations, vaccinations, visits, etc. to specialist surgery with the very latest 'state of the art' equipment.
Oakham Veterinary Hospital has a team dedicated to the prevention and treatment of a wide range of diseases, from flea and tick treatment to more complicated surgeries and a complex variety of investigations. We place a high degree of importance on preventative treatments in order to achieve the best possible level of patient care.
Our team consist of 8 vets, including certificate holders in surgery, medicine, diagnostic imaging and dentistry. 14 nurses (8 f/t, 2 night, 2 p/t, 1 student, 1VCA & 1 hospital assistant).
Our team are dedicated, caring and demonstrate high standards of care. They are enthusiastic, approachable and pro-active.
We are looking for a qualified RVN with experience preferably gained within a busy practice. Enthusiastic, self-motivated and resilient, the successful candidate will enjoy keeping pace with our wide and varied case load.
