We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic team here at Fyrnwy Equine Group! Our ideal candidate will have experience in either equine or small animal work and be confident in equine handling. This position is ideal for a nurse who is looking to care for a varied caseload and will involve all aspects of nursing including inpatient care, theatre nursing, medical cases, and stud work.
Rota and Salary
We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications for this position, with the full-time role being 40 hours across 5 days per week, with a share in a 1:4 weekend/on-call rota. TOIL provided for weekend work.
The salary for this role is up to £23,000 FTE depending on experience.
Fyrnwy Equine Group is a well-established, 100% equine, RCVS accredited and approved Graduate Development Practice covering Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid/North Wales, and surrounding counties. The main clinic is based in Shropshire which is a fully equipped surgical and inpatient facility with a large first opinion and diplomat-led referral service. We are the only practice in Shropshire with a standing MRI unit. Our brilliant team is made up of 18 vets, consisting of 2 specialists and advanced certificate holders in various disciplines. The vet team is supported by 5 dedicated nurses and 10+ support staff.
It is desirable our new nurse is already qualified but we will also consider a Student Nurse who is enrolled with the RCVS. Our ideal candidate will have a desire to work in equine care and be willing to put the care of our patients at the heart of everything they do.
