We are working with a lovely veterinary practice on the picturesque Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire borders, who are seeking an enthusiastic and confident RVN to join their friendly and supportive team. This well-equipped branch surgery has full diagnostic and surgical facilities on-site, enabling you to see a varied caseload with the additional support from the local hospital site within the group. This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a supportive veterinary group where you will be encouraged to pursue your special interests and career development, with many of the team working towards already certificates and further qualifications in their chosen areas.
The role will be well suited to a confident RVN, ideally with at least 1 year of qualified experience. You must be confident in all areas of clinical first opinion nursing, including anaesthesia, inpatient care, and nurse consults. Ideally you’ll be willing to attain your Clinical Coach certification, if you haven’t done so already, to assist Student Nurses on their journey to becoming an RVN. This is a part time role, working 2 days per week with a 1:3 Saturday mornings.
Experience / Who we are looking for
• You must be registered with the RCVS
• You should be confident in all first opinion veterinary nursing duties
• Team player
• Confident in sole charge
• Ideally you will have 1 year of qualified experience
Work Hours & Benefits
• Excellent salary in line with your level of experience
• Part-time role (18.5hrs/week)
• 2 days per week
• Monday & Wednesday 9am-6.30pm
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
• No OOH
• No on-call
