Our clients are currently looking for a Head RVN to join their team in South East London. This is a full time position of 40 hours a week including 1 in 5 weekends with time off in lieu and a fair shared contribution of on call with remuneration (2-3 weeks a year) and Bank holidays with lieu (2-3 shifts a year). This position would interest someone wanting to gain valuable hospital and ECC experience without the full time commitment of working in a hospital. 

There will be plenty of opportunity to run and promote a variety of nursing consults including puppy parties and duties will include general nursing, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia monitoring, lab work and some reception. Schedule 3 procedures encouraged and supported. 

An experienced Head RVN is desired although applicants from RVNs with an interest in leadership and student training are welcome as are those looking for part time or job share opportunities. 

The position offers a competitive salary with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, CPD package and with paid time off to attend as well as opportunities for certificate funding and support to develop your career. Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Proven leadership and student nurse training experience desired, although passionate RVNs with a keen interest in these areas will be considered
Drive to lead a team of vets, student nurses and support staff alongside their Lead vet surgeon. Interest in promoting and developing nurse consultations and schedule 3 procedure skills. Drivers license preferred as patient transfers may be required on an ad hoc basis although not essential. Clinical coach/supervisor for student vet nurses or desire to train to be.
