VetPro Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic Head Nurse to join a small animal practice in South Wales. This is a permanent, full-time role with a 6-week rolling rota with a combination of 8-hour shifts between 8:00-19:00 with inclusion on the inpatient night rota (Monday-Friday) with a week off post nights. Frequency of inclusion on the night rota to be discussed. As well as having excellent clinical and mentoring skills, with the ability to perform wide ranging nursing duties from general anaesthesia to nurse consultations, the practice is looking for someone who is able to lead a nursing team of 11 RVNs, 3 SVNs and 2 ACAs across 4 sites, promoting excellent clinical standards and supporting professional development of the team. Head Nurse will be expected to support or Clinical Coaches and ensure to provide excellent training for the SVNs. Previous leadership experience is an advantage, but not essential as training and support will be given. On offer is an excellent package including CPD allowance, paid memberships, and a competitive salary dependent on experience.
