Registered Veterinary Nurse Required At Carmel Vets, Penn Fields
West Midlands, United Kingdom
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us at Carmel Vets! This role will involve all aspects of small animal veterinary nursing including theatre, lab work, inpatient care and nurse consulting.
This role is for approximately 29 hours over 4 days per week, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays. You will have Thursdays off. The shifts are a mixture of 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, 10.30 am to 6.30 pm and 11.00 am to 7.00 pm. Flexibility is required depending on rota needs with regards to staff holiday and illness. Saturdays are from 8.30 am to 2.00 pm. There are no OOH shifts and we are closed on bank/public holidays. You will be primarily based at our Penn Fields site but you may be required to cover at our Fallings Park site if there is a need.
We are a two-site, RCVS accredited, training practice based in Wolverhampton. Both of our sites are well established, with a large client base and an excellent reputation.
Our equipment includes in-house lab machines, ECG, digital x-ray, capnography, endoscopy and ultrasound. We have a very friendly and welcoming team at both sites, who strive for clinical excellence, resulting in high standards of both client and patient care. We are keen to support CPD and to help continually develop our team’s skills. We have a caring and considerate culture and believe civility at work really matters.
This is a general role and we are happy with any level of experience; we would happily accept applications from a 3rd year, nearly qualified nurse. We are looking for someone who cares about standards and will work to the best of their ability. They must be a flexible, adaptable, team player, and genuinely enjoy nurse consulting. We would like a good "all-rounder" who is happy to apply themselves where needed. An interest in lab work would be beneficial. You will be happy to travel between our two practices which are on either side of Wolverhampton town centre, with an approximate 15-minute drive between sites.
