An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary nurse at Cootes Vets! We cover all aspects of small animal and exotic Veterinary care and day to day Nurse duties will include monitoring anaesthetics, assisting Vets, running in house diagnostics, X-rays and supporting customers. We encourage our Nurses to make the role their own, supporting training and new ways of thinking, with opportunities to run Nurse clinics/CPD evenings and open days if this is something that interests you.
Working here you will have the opportunity to work with visiting imaging and endoscopy specialists. We offer laparoscopic procedures in house and we offer full training in the set up and monitoring of procedures. In your position you will have the responsibility of looking after the bloods machine with monthly maintenance and monitoring.
We have both full time and part time opportunities available here at Cootes. Working a mixture of early and late shifts between; 8:30am -7:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays 8:30am-13.00pm on a rota system. No out of hours work.

We are on a good commuter route with ample parking and we are close to all amenities with a short walk to town and transport links. We have the beautiful Sussex countryside right on our doorstep with plenty of walking routes if you like to get out in your lunch break.
We have 2 very experienced fulltime Vets with a wealth of knowledge in small animal and exotic care. Our clinic is large, roomy and has recently been refurbished. We offer large kennel area, theatre and Prep room and a dedicated animal exercise area. Cootes has a fantastic, friendly, well established customer base who will make you feel right at home.
No two days are ever the same for a Cootes Veterinary Nurse, we have plenty of exciting opportunities to expand your knowledge and learn something new. This is a great opportunity to join an experienced, fun loving team, who are helpful friendly and supportive. As a team we like to get together for social events as often as we can! We have an annual charity dog show as well as getting involved with local charities. Similarly, we fully support all employees with any charity fundraising they take part in. We love to have fun here and explore new opportunities to bring the team together.
We have 2 very experienced Veterinary Surgeons and a Locum Vet once a week. There is 1 Head Nurse, 1 full time Nurse and 1 part time Nurse. We have 2 Receptionists, and Animal Nursing Assistant and a Practice Manager. We have an exceptionally supportive and encouraging network for all our employees. Therefore, there is lots of support for you as a Nurse both in your role and with any training you wish to undertake.
