Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and dynamic environment? Our client is seeking a passionate Vet to join their team, where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
** Perform consultations and provide medical treatment for animals in line with our high standards and RCVS protocols.
** Conduct surgical operations, including neutering and general surgery.
** Participate in the emergency and out-of-hours rota, offering vital support to our patients.
** Maintain accurate clinical notes, ensuring clients are kept informed about their pet's treatment and lab results.
** Uphold professional attendance, punctuality, and appearance, adhering to health and safety protocols.
** Promote practice news, special offers, and nurse clinics to clients where possible.
** Supervise and advise support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
** Manage client expectations with detailed estimates and regular updates, maintaining commercial awareness.
** Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and the general public.
** Engage in continued professional development to stay updated with the latest veterinary practices.
Work Schedule:
- 4 days per week with a full day off each week (except when following a weekend shift).
- No overnight on-call, with one late start and a 9pm finish once a week.
- Shared weekend rota (1 full weekend in 5), with Saturday and Sunday morning consults and on-call until 5pm. Monday and Friday off following a duty weekend.
Requirements:
- RCVS Membership with post-qualification experience in small animal practice.
- Some large animal experience is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client care.
- Ability to work well under pressure, self-motivated, and a team player.
- Full driving licence with business insurance, living within a commutable distance from the practice.
