David Maclellan

Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom

We are recruiting a permanent veterinary surgeon to join a small animal practice in Cambridgeshire. This is a full-time role working a 37-hour week. It is divided up between working in one of the branch surgeries and the main 24-hour Hospital.

The position within the branch surgery is a sole charge role so it is important that the Vet is confident in this area.

The role

The role will be fully supported with management and the Vet will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills and knowledge as well as areas of special interest.

The branch practice is well equipped and also has a supportive nursing team. The Vet will be responsible for the day-to-day Vet work and will help enhance the performance in both the branch surgery and the hospital. The Hospital is a large modern practice with state-of-the-art facilities and also provides referral services to vets in the area so there is plenty of scope for exposure to more complex cases.

The Vet will have excellent customer service skills and build up client relationships easily. They will also be able to work well as part of a team as there is a large team within the small animal Hospital. The Vet must be enthusiastic and dedicated to providing a high standard of clinical care.
