Great opportunity for two Veterinary Surgeons to join our established small animal rotating internship programme at our multi-disciplinary referral hospital, Northwest Veterinary Specialists in Cheshire.

We offer a supportive, friendly learning environment providing advanced training and experience in the following disciplines: Internal medicine; Surgery; Neurology; Diagnostic Imaging; Anaesthesia; Ophthalmology; and, Oncology.

Our programme is an excellent grounding for further postgraduate training such as residencies and aims to encourage your holistic development as a clinician delivering the highest standards of patient care, either in a referral or general practice setting.

This is a one year position, starting July 2020, supervised by recognised Specialists in the above fields and, as well as its success in preparing previous Interns for securing residency positions our internship programme offers the opportunity for involvement in research projects, publication and to present at major meetings.

Located in modern facilities, with full onsite MRI and CT services, Northwest Veterinary Specialists is an easy commute from historic Chester, Liverpool, North Wales or Manchester. With a busy, varied caseload in a friendly and approachable team we’re looking for motivated, enthusiastic candidates with a RCVS recognised degree and strong communication skills to join us.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Some post-graduate experience in small animal practice would be advantageous but applications are welcomed from new graduate veterinarians as well.
