The Role
Allpets Veterinary Hospital are looking for a full time Vet to join our friendly, progressive, and competent team based in Drogheda, Co. Louth. We are a 100% small animal hospital, passionate about providing a quality service to both our clients and our patients. Our team's wellbeing is always a priority and we have a number of wellness advocates who focus strongly on this area of our day to day work.
Excellent terms and conditions for suitable candidate with further studies encouraged and funded. The role consists of a 40 hour week. Flexible shift patterns to suit individual needs
OOH rota is currently 1:5 with no overnight work
Competitive salary commensurate with experience up to €65,000
About Us
We are situated in Drogheda Town, right next to the Bus Eireann bus depot and close by to the Drogheda train station.

• CPD is highly encouraged with an allowance of €1300 towards CPD costs annually. In-house CPD events also organised regularly as well as clinical case discussions and department organisational meetings and debriefs

• Client care is important to us. We have spent many years building up an incredible client base who deserve our best at all times. Client communication and follow up is essential so we ensure to designate time during each shift to client phone calls/e-mails/case write ups etc.
• A Staff Lounge Area
• Annual Appraisals as well as regular check-ins
• Support as part of IVC Evidensia Group
• Referral Orthopaedic surgeries done in house and both in house and visiting ultrasonographer
About the Team and Culture
We are a progressive team including 4 Vets (both medicine and surgery cert holders), 8 RVN’s, 3 Reception staff, an accounts manager, a practice manager and 2 ACA’s. Our team offer a friendly and welcoming environment, as well as a culture of understanding and compassion.
Applicant Requirements
• Experience preferred for this role but benefits of a supportive, energetic and experienced team
• Competent at routine surgeries (Cat/Dog Spays and Castrates, lumpectomies)
• Competent at procedures (Urinary Catheterisation, Blood transfusions, Ear Flush Exams, Skin work ups, cardiology work ups)
• A desire to develop own interest fields and give highest standards of patient and client care
• Good organisational and communication skills
• We pride ourselves on working extremely well as a team so the ability to integrate well into a professional, friendly team is a must
