JR is seeking experienced veterinary surgeons who may be looking to take on a leadership role or explore ownership options through a branch partnership. We have opportunities across 2 branches in the Dorset area for Lead Veterinary Surgeons and Branch Partners to join our client’s teams. As a lead veterinary surgeon, you will be leading a small animal first-opinion practice with a strong and loyal client base. You will be working as the sole charge vet, supported by experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants. However, if you are seeking to join as a Branch Partner these roles offer the chance to own part of the practice while maintaining complete clinical freedom. You will also receive comprehensive support, combining ownership benefits with extensive operational and professional resources.
Both locations offer a picturesque, historic setting with plenty of outdoor activities, festivals, and events, making it an ideal place for both professional and personal growth as well as easy access to the stunning Dorset coastline, Jurassic countryside, and transport links to London and the South Coast. Relocation Allowance is available for those moving more than 50 miles from their current location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Deliver outstanding care during consultations and surgeries.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, providing clear updates on patient status and ensuring transparency regarding estimates and payments.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager.
- Mentor and guide your team, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Ensure smooth clinical handovers and patient transfers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a permanent, full-time roles and offers a salary up to £70,000 DOE and a range of benefits including
