The RoleDue to an increasing caseload we have a rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join us on a fixed term basis. Hours of work will initially be 30 per week, including every Saturday. There are no OOH requirements. Our roles are varied, with time usually divided between Theatre, Consults and Admin. Theatre days involve working alongside RVNs to operate on a range of small animals. Consult times involve examination of unwell pets, administration of vaccines, running diagnostics, writing up cases and providing clients with the highest standards of service and customer care. Time must also be allocated to monitoring sick and hospitalised patients and working with RVNs to ensure their ongoing care. Admin time is spent catching up with clinical notes, calling clients with updates and completing insurance forms
About Us
We are a modern, clinical practice in the beautiful West End of Glasgow. We occupy a traditional sandstone dwelling that comprises of 4 consult rooms and a fully equipped operating theatre. We have recently undergone a large-scale modernisation project that has involved renovation, upgrading of equipment and facilities, as well as development of services. The practice is also well situated for train and bus services with free on street parking. We have a very strong and supportive team consisting of 5 vets and 4 RVNs. We are RCVS accredited and an accredited nurse training practice. We are a progressive, forward thinking team that is keen to pursue and fund training to develop services and facilities at the practice. The team works closely together and gets on really well. We are like one big family!
