About the role
Glenbrae Vets is looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their team to work in one of the best veterinary clinics in Glasgow. A senior role will be available for the right candidate which will include mentoring less experienced staff, assisting the Clinical Director with administrative work load and ensuring RCVS PSS is followed. Experience in laparoscopy is desired but not essential, though a willingness to learn this skill after suitable training is required.
Services include;
House calls, acupuncture, laser, bereavement counselling, nurse clinics, nutrition and behaviour advice, fully equipped surgical suites at all branches, peripatetic ultra-sonographer visits weekly, laparoscopic spay service working out of our Bearsden branch
Rota Pattern
- Working 38 hours per week
- Over 4 days per week
- You will receive paid lunch breaks as an additional perk.
- 1:3 Saturday mornings – deducted from total weekly hours
- No OOH & Closed on Sundays

About us
We work over three sites – Bearsden, Dumbarton and Muirhead and the successful candidate will be required to work between two of these sites. We have a fabulous team of 10 additional vets, 8 RVNs and 1 soon to be 2 SVNs as well as an extensive Client Care Advisor and Admin team
The staff enjoy marketing the clinic and improving preventative medicine in the community, building a relationship with our great client base and their beloved pets and supporting each other through teamwork in a busy and fast paced clinic.
Candidate requirements
Must be RCVS registered, be confident in sole charge and have some experience in a small animal 1st opinion practice. Confident handing your own caseloads and ability to assist less experienced vets to enhance their surgical skills.
