We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Clinical Director to lead their well-established veterinary practice in Southampton. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the ongoing development of a busy, diverse caseload, which includes laparoscopy, orthopaedics, BOAS, and cardiology.
As Clinical Director, you will oversee both clinical and operational aspects of the practice. Your duties will include supporting a team of 5 vets, performing surgery and consultations, maintaining high clinical standards, and working closely with the practice manager to achieve strategic goals. You will also be responsible for staff leadership, development, and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including dedicated ultrasound scanners, DR radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy, and orthopaedic equipment. The team consists of 5 veterinary surgeons, 7 veterinary nurses, a practice manager, and a skilled support team. With a strong focus on preventative care and high clinical standards, the practice has built a loyal client base over the years.
This full-time role includes a 1:5 weekend rota, with no night duties. A weekend on duty is followed by a four-day break.
